Number five on my list goes to Steve Nash. It's remarkable to think about the fact that his best basketball has been played after the age of 30. While he's now 35, some coaches and analysts think he's playing better than he ever has.

Next on my list is Chris Paul. While he's younger than Nash, he's made the most of his time, becoming one of only two point guards in the history of the league to lead all players in assists and steals per game.

He's one of the best defenders at the position to ever play the game, and a shoe in to be near the top of the league in assists each year.

Back to an older active player who hasn't slowed down, Jason Kidd is truly phenomenal. The fact that he plays as well as he does at the age of 36 is a testament to his raw talent. Kidd has one of the most well rounded games in the history of the sport.

John Stockton. The all-time assists leader has to be on this list. Wonder why the Jazz made the playoffs for nearly 20 years straight, all the way until Stockton was over 40 years old? It was the combo of this phenom and Karl Malone.

As great as these point guards all were, no one tops Magic Johnson on this list. While his career was unfortunately cut short, what he accomplished while he played was truly incredible. Between his championships, MVP awards, and his stats, he was a joy to watch and simply one of the best to ever play.

One final figure that I'll mention here is an American Idol success story. After all, what would any pop music discussion be these days without mentioning Idol?

Every year, there are a few fantasy basketball players who rise out of obscurity, establishing themselves as bona fide must start players through the course of the season.

Let's take a look at the player who I believe has had the biggest impact on teams so far this season.

Kevin Love has simply been phenomenal in Minnesota. No one saw this coming, at least not this quickly and not to such an extent. As the player with the second highest rebounding average in the league, his numbers are exceptional. He's also a great scorer and a solid shooter too.

Any center who can shoot 80% from the line is magnificent in that category. A huge bonus that comes with owning Love is the fact that he's averaging over half a three pointer per game.

There are only a few centers in the NBA who shoot three pointers, and their contributions are invaluable to teams. One more great element of Love is the fact that he averages over a steal per game, also a rarity at the position.

No one believed that Love would have the impact that he currently does. He's been one of the most pleasant surprises in all of basketball, and gives fans of the Timberwolves in Minnesota something to look forward to.

As of now, no player has hit the fantasy radar with the impact that Kevin Love has. It should be really interesting to see where he takes his game from here.

It's obvious that the San Francisco 49ers are heading in the right direction under Mike Singletary, but you couldn't tell by watching their game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The Falcons scored six touchdowns against the Niners, with running back Michael Turner accounting for three of the scores as Atlanta routed San Francisco by a lopsided 45-10 final score. It was the Niners' worst defeat since a 41-0 loss back in 2006 under former coach Mike Nolan.

The NFL betting lines had the game listed as a 'PICK', giving the Falcons the ATS win with their easy straight up victory. It was the 49ers first loss against the spread this season, while Atlanta upped their record to 3-1 to the money. The combined 55 points went OVER the posted total of 39'.

After the game, the fiery Singletary apologized for cussing out former 49er and current Falcons' lineman Harvey Dahl:

"I'll put it this way: I wish I had more coaching etiquette. I don't. I love my players and when someone responds about my players in a particular way, I may do some things I shouldn't do. I have to get better at those things as time goes on. Even though the player was talking to me, I should not have said what I said. It wasn't anything bad, it was just something that shouldn't have happened."

Roddy White set a Falcons' record with 210 receiving yards, and was assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on his second touchdown of the day. With his team in full control, Atlanta coach Mike Smith had to be amused:

"He didn't hit the landing because if he hits the landing it's not a 15-yard penalty. I told him if he's going to do it, it needs to be Olga Korbut. Smith admitted that he hadn't been in top form so far this season:

The Minnesota Vikings' decision to facilitate Brett Favre's latest 'unretirement' is looking better and better with each passing week. This past Sunday, Favre's charges moved to 6-0 on the season with a wild 33-31 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens posted 21 fourth quarter points to charge back and claim the lead late, but Favre led a rally to set up place kicker Ryan Longwell's 31 yard game winning field goal. Baltimore evened their record at 3-3 on the season with the loss.

Minnesota has been one of the surprise teams of the season, and that fact has also enriched those who bet on NFL football. They didn't get the money on this occasion, however, as the Ravens took the cheese as a +3 road underdog. Still, it was only the Vikings' second loss of the year against the NFL pointspread (4-2) while Baltimore has also been solid against the number with a 4-2 mark. The cover broke a two game ATS losing streak for the Ravens.

Baltimore QB Joe Flacco got the Ravens in range for a last second game winning field goal, but Steven Hauschka's 44 yard try went wide left. After the game, he took his miss hard:
