Talk with your friends and ask them if weddings can be stressful. They will surely have a lot of stories to tell you.

You should not have a care in the world on your special day. It should be a totally relaxing and special day.

There is so much to do on your actual wedding day that a day in a busy office would be like taking a day off compared to your wedding day. Asking for support from everyone that you can will make your special day more special.

All the stress can be totally lessened as long as you plan well and get lots of support from your family and friends and your wedding professionals.

Around ten years ago pre-wedding photography came into its own in Singapore as a way to have a more enjoyable actual wedding day. Today it is very popular. With Singapore having a lot of traditional Asian style weddings doing a lot of the main photography before the wedding is often essential. Traditional weddings are involving and detailed and involve usually a large number of people. Getting the main photos done ahead of time is essential.

Smart photographers started offering pre-bridal packages so that all the stress could be taken out of the actual day. So with pre-wedding photography there was no longer any need to rush around to get all the pics taken. It also removed the risk of the special day pics being totally destroyed by bad weather as well.

Pre-wedding packages come in all shapes and sizes. Most of the packages offered will include both outdoor shots as well as studio shots. Simply ask your photographer what will be included in your package.

As well as making sure you get a great set of pics for your album, pre-wedding photos mean that you have something special to show at your actual wedding to your guests, which is always nice.

Pre-wedding photography is catching on around the world now. It may not be called pre-wedding in other countries but the idea still exists. If your photographer has not suggested doing a pre-wedding shoot then ask them for a price as part of the overall wedding package. Booking the two together - pre and actual day photography will save you money for sure and will allow you to bargain a little.

If you have been taking photos for a while, you may have noticed a curious phenomenon: when you take photos in very bright conditions, like at the snow, they turn out too dark, and when you take photos in dark conditions, they turn out too light. So why does this happen?

Well, first of all it is important to note that because a lot of the time cameras reproduce more or less what we see with our eyes, it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that we can just put the camera in fully automatic mode, point, shoot, and get a photo that looks just like what we saw. But this is not always possible, and it is because of the way your camera makes decisions when you press the button.

Unless you are using a fully manual camera, your camera must make the decision as to how much light to allow the sensor to be exposed to. If there is too little light, the subjects of the photograph may appear almost invisible, also known as 'underexposed." In reverse, if there is too much light allowed, areas of the photo may be completely white, also known as "overexposed."

A camera will make these decisions based on the fact that most scenes, most of the time, are comprised of both light and dark tones that average out about the same. This average is commonly referred to as "18% grey." This premise is what allows the camera to determine how much aperture and shutter speed should be utilized. However, in certain situations, this rule of thumb can break down.

To better explain, let's look at a common example: taking a photo of a polar bear in the snow on a bright sunny day. You are seeking the ability to reproduce the bright scene you viewed with your own eyes. However, most likely the bear and the snow will appear to be a dirty grey. The reason for this result is that your camera is utilizing its rule of thumb to determine shutter speed and aperture.

The reverse situation can be explained with an example of a dark photograph. Perhaps you wish to capture the magic of a dark street lit by streetlights. You are expecting a photo that is mainly dark with areas of illumination. However, because your camera is making decisions using its rule of thumb, you are more likely to have a photo that is brown in areas that should be black as well as having lighter areas that are white or overexposed.

In order to expose very light and very dark scenes correctly (i.e. close to how you saw them), you will need to take control of your camera, rather than letting it do everything for itself. One way to do this is to dial in exposure compensation " add one stop for bright conditions and the reverse for dark conditions. Or you could simply put the camera in manual mode and try different settings until you get what you want, using the rear LCD to review your results.

The Rule of the Third Explained

Posted by Georgy | 10/28/2009

By Morten Elm

It might seem a little bit complicated. But actually the Rule of the Third (also named the Golden Section) is pretty simple to use, if you just know how to divide a square into nine equal parts.

Before you do anything else, try to turn on your TV and find a news channel. Wait until you see the newsreader. Where is he sitting? In the middle of the picture? No, he is sitting either in the left or the right third. And that is the Rule of the Third.

Long before the photography painters found out, that if the main subject was placed either one third or two third from the top and/or from the left, the painting would look more balanced.

To be absolutely correct the right place to put the main subject is not exactly one third (or two third) from the border. There is a complicated mathematically rule that describes the exact place. But it is so close to one third that is fine enough for practically use. So as long as you are not showing your pictures to a mathematician, you will be fine.

So learn from the painters and place your subject in the third parts of the photography. It can be either vertically or horizontal; or both.

The Rule of the Third is especially important, when you are photographing the horizon. A classic mistake is to place it in the middle of the photo. But as you have learned, it will divide the photo in two parts. The result is an unbalanced photo.

So take a look at the subject and decide which part is the most interesting. Is it the sky or the ground? Are there beautiful clouds or are the subjects on the ground more interesting? Place two third of the photography with the most interesting part of the subject.

Some cameras cannot figure out the make the subject sharp, if it is not in the middle. If that is the case, you should just place the subject in the middle of the frame, only press down the release half and the turn the camera subsequently. This way the camera knows that your subject is.

Like all other photographic rules it is okay to break the Rule of the Thirds; as long as you do it on purpose and knows what you are doing.

Corporate photography plays a vital role during the important events of a company, and can have a lot of other uses as well. Good photos help in effectively advertising the company's products or services in the media by their impactful presence in ads and company brochures.

One of the most important tasks of a corporate photographer's job profile is to click photos showing the company's growth, for its annual report for clients and shareholders. Such reports serve as testimonials for the company and highlight its previous years' good performance. A report that is supplemented with nice looking and attractive photos helps immensely in enhancing the image of the company in front of both existing and potential customers and its own staff.

Corporate brochures prepared for use in career fairs or university premises can be made appealing with the use of creative and incisive pictures that project the work environment of the company. Fresh talent is difficult to attract, and one of the ways to project your company as an excellent place to be is through brochures that focus on its positive aspects. A corporate photographer with his photography expertise can project an impressive image of the company in front of the candidates.

Likewise, product brochures for customers can also be made very appealing if the corporate photographer has the required talent. This can have an excellent influence on revenues, as it will encourage interested customers to enquire with the firm about its products or services.

A corporate photographer also records the achievements of a firm like a historian. He takes photos of all the major events of the organization so that they can be used when needed. A fine collection of company's successes is recorded through these photographs. This photo collection gives later generations a chance to make themselves aware of the company's successes, and it helps in keeping the company's legacy alive.

Many firms now also have an in-house magazine, where images and reports of latest events are included for the staff. These pictures make employees feel a strong sense of attachment with the organization, make them more dedicated to its welfare, and keep them enthused about their employment.

These are a few of the various ways in which corporate photographers can immensely help the organization. They do not come in the limelight but their work is always appreciated. Their work is of immense significance both for the company's internal operations and for its image in the market, and thus only an experienced professional must be selected for the job, who can fulfill all your corporate photography needs.

So first off, by all-time I mean up to this point. I am sure Alicia Keys is not done writing for her lifetime, but here are the five best put out by the New York City native.

1. Who could forget about "No One", her number one hit that really propelled her to a new level recently. Not only is her vocal range more daring and impressive than it is in nearly any of her other songs, but everything here is fresh.

2. You may remember her first hit ever, the song Falling, which was a product of her first ever CD back in the late 1990s. This was the beginning of Alicia Keys, and little did we know how lasting her presence would be.

3. If I Ain't Got You - This ballad is one of the best piano songs performed in recent history. Countless women have tried to do covers of this song, but no one quite has topped her. This song comes off the album "Diary of Alicia Keys."

4. You may remember a duet that Alicia Keys did with Usher a few years back. The song is called My Boo, and even though it was featured on Usher's CD, this song is equally Usher's and Alicia's. This was another great song and the two of them worked really well together.

5. Number five on our all-time Alicia Keys list is a heartfelt song that might be her best lyrical work to date. Superwoman is a song that chronicles the challenges that so many women face in so many nations.

Additionally, you've probably heard this song in movie soundtracks, commercials, and more, as the commercial appeal to this song has been huge.

These five songs are just a few of the many pop hits that Alicia Keys has produced over the course of a decade. Amazingly, she's still young and something tells me that she may not have even reached her peak yet.

Plastic surgery photo viewing of before-and-after shots will not only tell you about your surgeon's skills, it will also reveal much about the procedure itself. In most instances, people are either encouraged or discouraged with the procedure once they have seen these photos.

Always Ask for Photos

You do not want to go into a potentially risky procedure without fully knowing what you are about to get into. A plastic surgery photo viewing session is one of the best ways for you to get a glimpse of a surgeon's sense of professionalism and skills and how you might just look like after surgery.

It would be better though if you do not settle for just one plastic surgery photo. Ask your surgeon to present a gallery and explain to you which plastic surgery photo is most likely reflective of your condition and goals. You might also want to log on to websites and scour the net for numerous other photos. This will help you compare your surgeon's work with that of others.

Assess Photo Quality

Good plastic surgeons will always have more than one set of photos to show. Badly done photographs may be a sign that you may not have a very dedicated and meticulous surgeon. Make sure that you are viewing a high resolution plastic surgery photo gallery. Pictures however that appear too perfect are something to be wary of. Cosmetic plastic surgery cannot produce perfect results and you should be on your guard if all the pictures present fabulous looking models.

Look for Signs of Editing and Manipulation

Ethics would require a surgeon to keep the patient's identity a secret. None of the surgical details are masked. It is still a good idea however to have a discriminating eye. You might end up in the hands of the rare surgeon con artist who might resort to plastic surgery photo editing.

Aside from editing, you should also check plastic surgery photo galleries for inconsistencies in lighting or angles. Before photo editing software was invented, clever photographers used lighting and angles to change the look of the same object. Some surgeons may not have intentionally employed such a practice. Real lighting difficulties may truly have resulted in a picture that looks better than the actual result. Simply ask your doctor about what you see if you notice differences in lighting or angle in before and after pictures.

Do Not Rely On Pictures

Plastic surgery photo viewing can help you decide but it must not be your sole basis for deciding. You might be able to make a more informed decision if you requested for a computer assisted display of what you would look like after the procedure. You should also consider looking for real people you know such as friends and family and assess for yourself how much they have improved in their appearance.

The best factor to look into however other than pictures is a doctor's accreditation or board certification. Researching about a doctor's qualifications is the best way to ensure safety.

One of the most common questions posed by new and seasoned photographers alike relates to taking better photos in low light situations. It's a common scenario - you are in a dimly lit room or in an outdoor location at night, you press the shutter button to take a photo and your camera simply refuses to cooperate. The camera hunts for several seconds trying to focus in on something, and once it finally does, the resulting image is either blurred or impossible to recognize. While this issue primarily affects owners of point-and-shoot style cameras, it also can affect those with SLR type cameras. Regardless of the type of camera you own, there are a few simple tips that can help you take better photos in low light situations.

For most people, upgrading to an expensive feature-packed DSLR camera to improve their low-light photography skills simply isn't an option. Because of this, the focus of this article will be to provide some simple and affordable suggestions that will help you to improve your images. Before deciding on which option might be best for your situation, it's important to have an understanding of why cameras often fail to product the results we expect under low-light conditions.

Under low light situations, the camera must tell the lens to stay open for a longer period of time so that a sufficient amount of light can be captured to create an image. The problem is that once you allow the lens to remain open for more than a split second, any movements created by your hands or from external sources will affect the finished image, resulting in blurred or shaky images. Now that we have that out of the way, it's time to discuss some of the options available that will help you to improve your shots.

The most obvious answer is to invest in a tripod or other device to keep your pink digital camera in a fixed position during an exposure. Once your camera has been placed on a non-movable device, it's much less likely to be moved by your hands or from light winds. There are tripods available for nearly every camera type and many can be purchased for under $50.00. For those looking for something lighter or more portable there are several different options available, though these typically demand a higher price.

Apart from using a tripod to hold the camera still, another option for improving your low light photography is to increase the amount of available light through the use of your camera's internal flash. Although most point-and-shoot cameras weren't designed to light up a large room with their flash units, they are capable of providing sufficient light to illuminate the main subject of a photo in most cases. It is worth mentioning that a flash is not the best solution in all cases, and should never be used under very dark conditions. The reason being is that the flash will likely overexpose the main subject in the foreground and will underexpose the background. Small camera flashes in particular are not good at dealing with these extreme circumstances.

Apart from the tips mentioned above, another option may be to consider an upgrade to a digital SLR camera, since many of these cameras can accommodate larger flash units and faster lenses. Whatever method you choose to follow, it's important to understand the limitations of your current equipment. By knowing what your camera can and can't accomplish you will be in a better position to capture beautiful low light photos.

Planning to be married in Southern California offers a fantastic number of options and offers one of the most magnificent areas in the United States in terms of natural beauty. A Santa Barbara wedding can be a sophisticated event with what is described as a Mediterranean climate and a much desired backdrop of splendid scenery. This area has been given the descriptive nickname of the "American Riviera" and that very much tells a person how exquisite it is. By the same token, a Ventura wedding can be very appealing to a younger, hipper crowd because of its wonderful surfing opportunities and lovely beaches. This area is known as a surfer's paradise and it is aptly named as well. Although these locations offer many different amenities and ceremony choices, there are the some decisions that remain the same to each bride and groom.

Invitations need to be chosen and these can be as simple as a handwritten note or a beautifully engraved invitation. In recent years, the handwritten note has gained popularity as ceremonies have increasingly taken place in outdoor gardens, wineries and on beaches. It simply appears appropriate to pair a handwritten invitation with these outdoor events.

Flowers can also be as elaborate as huge sprays of orchids and roses or as simple as daisies or freesia blossoms. One bride recently used beautiful bouquets of peonies from her grandmother's garden for her backyard celebration and they were stunning. When doing this of course, it is imperative to keep in mind what flowers will be in peak bloom and beauty at the time they would be needed for decorations.

Photographers also offer more formal packages of photos or some specialize in random, candid shots of the guest and celebrant participants. One word of caution, if a friend or relative offers to save you this expense, be sure they are up to the task . It can be distressing to discover that "Uncle Fred" forgot to take the time to truly focus on good picture opportunities until it is too late and you have blurry mementoes of the big day and no chance to retake them. This same advice in addition applies to anybody who offers to videotape the ceremony for you who does not have professional experience and expertise.

Caterers are tremendously flexible of late and can accommodate any menu choice and budget restriction that may be presented to them. When the finances are limited a fine selectionis a drinks and hors d'oeuvre offering. Appetizers that are artfully arranged make a good presentation and can be as simple or as fancy as desired. This is an especially appealing choice for an early afternoon or late evening celebration. Another cost effective choice is a buffet bar with a predetermined menu that is designed to allow guests to mingle and chat while helping themselves to a light lunch or dinner. This buffet often includes several salads and either sandwiches or two to three meat choices with breads and vegetables rounding out the selection. It is even possible to order these catering choices from an upscale grocery store and have friends help in serving and replenishing dwindling offerings.

You have probably noticed that Adobe Photoshop files can be saved in different formats or types of files.

Having a working knowledge and understanding of the different file formats is essential if you want to make the most of your photo projects.

Many different types of image files exist; here are the most common ones used in Photoshop.

PSD: This is the most important file format for digital photo editing. A PSD file is a Photoshop file format. There are two main reasons for using PSD when working on your digital photos. To begin with, PSD files allow you to work in layers and channels. This saves your work without compressing the layers. This does result in a large file size. Secondly, PSD files do not lose their image quality as you work on them. Since there is no compression when the file is saved, there is no lost data. Save your work as a PSD file until you are finished editing your image. Then you can save it in a more appropriate file for each particular project.

JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group. JPEG is the most well-known for the digital file formats. Files saved in JPEG are smaller because they are compressed. The problem with JPEG, as well as any compression file, is that some data will be lost every time you edit the file and then save it again. However, JPEG files work great on the Web and come with a variety of applications.

GIF, or Graphic Interchange Format, is a very popular format used for Web and Internet applications. GIF files are usually small in size, allowing them to load more quickly in Internet browsers. These GIF files are actually limited to a maximum of 256 colors.

Other file formats are available on Photoshop; however, they are not good for Internet use so as not used very much.

For your use, it will be best to save your projects in a PSD file until you are finished editing them. Then, save them in a JPEG or GIF file to save space.

You been there before. You go on holidays and take lots of photos of all those stunning sights and the wonderful places you went to. But you get home, you look at your photos and you're always disappointed. They look lifeless and dull and ordinary.

Nothing that you wanted to convey in your photos is there. The sunset that was so stunning is gone. That extra special light that made that view look so special is missing. And you got that special smile on your girlfriends face, except that when you look at the photo you didn't get that smile at all.

I don't mean simple mistakes like your thumb over the lens. After all you do know something about photography and you've bought a good quality digital camera. You've spent some time reading all about it and you've managed to get some confidence that your photography skills are on the up and you really ought to be taking good photos now.

But every time you look at your photos you're disappointed in the result and wonder why you aren't taking better photos. They just don't convey what you wanted them to convey.

Sometimes it may be just a little step from taking average, or poor, photos, to taking good photos. You don't need to spend years studying photography at College, you just need to learn some simple things that every professional photographer already knows.

Like simple stuff such as how to compose a photo properly, how to use light to it's best advantage. How to take people and pets. How to take landscapes, how to use a tripod or flash properly.

Modern cameras are excellent. They are manufactured to take good photos, but it isn't sufficient to just point and shoot as the ads seem to say. You still need to know some photography basics. There is no camera in the world that will take great photos guaranteed, every time, if all you do is to point and shoot.

Now of course if they could make a camera that would take great photos every time just with point and shoot they would, the market would be huge. But the person behind the lens still needs to learn some photography basics.

I'm not saying it's hard, just that there are some secrets of the pros that you need to learn and practice and apply them to take great photos.

You'll go on holidays next time feeling confident with good reason. You'll be able to be confident to hand them around to your friends and you might even find them asking you for some good photography tips.

And your girlfriend will be smiling, both in the photos, and when she sees them.

You can get a book on how to take good photos on my website.

For a stunning memories of your nuptials, consider these five wedding photography trends:

Photojournalism/reportage photography. We've covered this pretty thoroughly, but in case you need a refresher course, photojournalism or reportage photography follows the journalistic approach of documenting the wedding as if it were a feature story.

Strict photojournalists won't dare to pose or stage any pictures, preferring instead to capture the moments as they happen. Most frequently these days, you'll run across reportage wedding photographers who combine photojournalistic and traditional wedding photography to form a sort of hybrid of the two.

Fashion or fine-art shots. This wedding photography trend is all about the glamour. Look at the photo shoots you see in high-end fashion magazines, and picture yourself as the model. This is all about the lighting, the posing, and naturally, the clothes. Fashion or fine-art shots can give a couple a spectacular wedding album.

Unique posing. While wedding photography trends are moving away a bit from posing, it's also shifting to a different type of posing where the shot is staged, but in an unexpected way. An example would be posing the groom sitting in a pew at the front of the church, then staging his groomsmen sitting in various pews behind him.

Boudoir photography. Done before the wedding, this is a special type of photography for both the bride and groom. It focuses on showing off the bride's beauty as a special gift to the groom - but don't think it's X-rated. Instead, it gives glimpses of the bride's sexiness without revealing it all. Think pin-up girl, not Playboy model.

Trash-the-dress photography. Shot after the wedding, trash-the-dress is a wedding photography trend that bids farewell to the bride's wedding dress by getting down and dirty. Sometimes this photo shoot features the couple, sometimes only the bride, depending on what type of photos they want. If you want to save your dress for your daughter or can't fathom ruining something that may have cost you thousands of dollars, this wedding photography trend is not for you!

Creating an online digital photo album or scrapbook is a great way to present your digital photos. Digital scrapbook downloads are available that can help you create an incredible photo album, but the first step to creating an awesome digital photo album is organizing your pictures. Load up your best photos and create some categories... it's important to stay organized when you're trying to make a digital photo album. Simply create some folders within your computer and save your appropriate pictures.

The first step in creating a digital photo album is to carefully sift through the photos that you want to feature in it. You will only want the highest quality photos for your work of art! Focus on the photos that you really want to show off!

But what if you want to use older photos that are printed traditionally? You can simply scan these photos into your computer using a scanner, and then upload to the correct folders that you created for this digital photo album project. If you don't have a scanner, you can likely find a friend who might let you use theirs, or you can go to a Staples or printing chain that will scan your photos at a reasonable price.

Once you have your photos organized, make sure that you have some great downloads to choose from or some free digital photo album software to download. Don't pay for the software that you download. You might have to pay if you want your photo album professionally printed, but the software should be free.

I know what you're thinking.... How do I know what software to download? You need to check out the website that is offering the download. Look for some of the following to ensure the site is legitimate:

Why wear your ring on your left hand? Why something old, new, borrowed and blue? Wedding traditions from across the globe don't make a whole lot of sense for the uninformed. Lucky for you, we've got a list of wedding traditions unveiled, so you can explain your less-knowledgeable aunt why people are throwing rice as you leave the church (or blowing bubbles, for those concerned about birds).

The ring finger: Engagement and wedding rings are typically worn on the left hand because that finger was once thought to contain the "vein of love," a vein that led directly to the heart. But did you know that in some countries, such as Spain, Germany, Greece and Russia, couples wear their wedding rings on their right hand?

Something old: You know the saying. But what does it mean? Let's break it down: In wearing something old, the bride symbols continuity from the past. Something new symbolizes the birth of the marriage.

A bride should wear something borrowed from a woman in a happy marriage in hopes that the happiness will rub off on her, and then something blue because it symbolizes purity, fidelity and love. In some countries, including England, a sixpence is stuck in the bride's shoe because it is said to bring luck to the couple.

Throwing rice: Rice symbolizes wealth and fertility. By throwing it at the newly married, the guests are showing their hopes of an abundance of blessings. Most people blow bubbles these days as to not hurt any wild animals (and less cleanup).

Why light a candle? A unity candle is often lit by either the bride and the groom or two members from their family, symbolizing the joining of the two families as one. Sometimes couples choose to instead have a sand ceremony, where they pour two different vials of sand into one container.

Tie the knot? This strange synonym for getting married is derived from the cultures of the world, including Hindu and Egyptian, that literally tie the hands of the bride and groom together to symbolize the binding marriage.

It's been quite the extraordinary course of events, and it looks like things will continue to get more interesting with the Heene family. The family that desperately wanted fame will get it, though it will come in the form of notoriety. Having told the police that their son was trapped inside a flying balloon, the story quickly gained traction and dominated the airwaves.

This saucer was filled with helium, and flying hundreds of feet (if not thousands) above the ground, being followed by the FAA and news helicopters alike. The nation watched the plight of this saucer on the edge of its seat, fearing the worst possible outcome for young Falcon.

A few hours later as the helium died down, the flying saucer came into a very surprisingly soft descent, landing on the ground but still leading authorities to believe that the worse was be to expected. Somehow, Falcon wasn't inside the balloon. Where was he? Hiding in the family's attic.

During an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN later that night, Falcon let something very interesting slip out - that he had been hiding in the family attic "for the show". The Heenes quickly looked panicked and on edge after Wolf Blitzer questioned the family about this little slip-up.

Everything then took a turn for the worse and it became obvious that the entire incident was a staged one. The public had been taken for a ride by the Heene family.

The entire ordeal ran a cost of $2 million, and many are wondering if the Heenes should be criminally charged for this mess should the facts show that they were responsible for it.

Having cost authorities boat loads of money, scaring a nation, and playing around with our emergency response system, there are criminal implications that come with this behavior.

The Heenes will likely be charged from here, and they deserve whatever they get for such immature and selfish behavior. I pity the children who have to grow up with such parents. They don't deserve to endure whatever it is that they're about to go through.

The worlds best heavyweight mixed martial artist has a new American promotional home. Following Afflictions announcement that they were ending MMA promotional activities, Fedor Emelianenko quickly became the fight world's most sought after free agent. After rebuffing the UFC's offer--citing restrictive contractual arrangements--'The Last Emperor' has signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce. Terms of the arrangement were not made public, but Fedor will make his debut for Strikeforce this October.

Strikeforce agreed to allow Fedor non-exclusivity outside of North America, allowing him to compete in Japan and elsewhere. They also agreed to enter a co-promotional relationship with M-1 Global. These were the sticking points in Fedor's negotiations with the UFC, and with Strikeforce not having an issue with non-exclusivity or co-promotion a deal was quickly brokered.

Fedor expressed his thoughts after the contract signing was announced:

I am looking forward to going back to work and fighting at the highest level. STRIKEFORCE is a top fight promotion that houses some of the greatest fighters in the world. I am prepared to fight any of them.

Emelianenkos manager, Vadim Finkelchtein concurred:

I am very happy and excited about the upcoming collaboration with Strikeforce. We are very pleased that we found a reliable partner and I feel that Strikeforce and M-1 can support each other on many things. This will create big opportunities for both parties to test their fighters against worthy opponents.

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker had the following comments:

We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with M-1 Global and Fedor. Fedor has been the reigning king of MMAs heavyweight division for quite some time now so being able to work with M-1 and Fedor will substantially increase the level of competition amongst the athletes in this weight class.

The UFCs Dana White quickly responded with a 'f-bomb' laden tirade sounding more like a drunken frat boy than a pro sports CEO, suggesting that Fedor was choosing to fight "nobodys" for no money by signing with Strikeforce. His sycophants in the media at outlets like Yahoo Sports were quick to pick up that theme, thats simply an attempt to put the best spin on a bad situation.

More significantly, Strikeforce has much better television exposure at this point than the #1 US MMA promotion. Strikeforce has a relationship with premium cable giant Showtime, as well as CBS TV. The UFC's only TV exposure is via the 'Spike' cable network.

Whites hysterical comments about the quality of opposition simply aren't true either. Obviously the biggest fight available in the US for Fedor right now would be with UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, but once you get past him the talent pool in the promotion becomes iffy at best. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira remains among the best heavyweights in the world, but Fedor has already beaten him three times during their time in the Japanese MMA organization PRIDE.

Strikeforce has several intriguing fights immediately available for Fedor. Heavyweight prospect Brett Rogers, who knocked out Andrei Arlovski in his last fight, is likely first on deck. The Strikeforce heavyweight belt is currently held by Alistair Overeem, whom mutual opponent Mirko Cro Cop suggests is the one man in the sport capable of defeating Fedor. Fabricio Werdum is a talented veteran of the UFC and PRIDE and may figure into the mix some point as well.

Buying loads of gimmicks, gadgets and other fairly useless photography accessories happens fairly often with rookies. But fear not if you are new to photography, as even the old hands sit with numerous unused equipment that appeared really important when they started out as photographers.

Accessories and gadgets are quite a personal choice and I see a lot of photographers spending a lot of money on these driven by massive advertising campaigns. The manufactures of these accessories keep the market stimulated by manufacturing new designs continually.

Oodles of photographers might not classify lenses as accessories, although some specialized single use lenses such as a fish eye lens is nothing more than that. Shift and macro lenses can be placed in that category too. That is if you are not a botanical or architectural master photographer that uses these lenses daily.

General accessories are things like doublers - a device you screw in between your lens and your camera body that then doubles the reach of your existing lens. In the same category you will find an array of filters that you place in front of your lens to adjust the effect on your final image. The majority of digital cameras don't tolerate filters well.

One accessory every photo bug should have in his kit is a cable release. This piece of equipment allows you to take pictures from a distance and can be extremely functional. I use mine to shoot weddings with by placing my cameras discreetly in the church and shooting from far without disturbing the mood.

Gone are the days waiting for a wild animal to walk past for a photo. You can utilize a system where beams are broken by the animal that triggers your camera to shoot. These beams work with infrared receptors. Traffic violations caught on camera works in pretty much the same way, but radar is used to determine your speed, which then triggers the hated camera next to the road.

Low light conditions ask for sturdy camera support. To do this you will require some form of tripod. You might opt for the traditional three legged options or carry a monopod, which looks a lot like a cane, although works very well as support.

Containers for packing your equipment will see loads of photographers making costly mistakes as they purchase too small a bag at the beginning of their career. Soon their equipment outgrows the space and a new bag is purchased. This cycle can get out of hand and umpteen people end up carrying bags on wheels, filled with every piece of accessories money can buy.

He just proposed, and she's as giddy as a schoolgirl. That happiness will radiate for weeks - or at least until the stress of planning a wedding takes hold! Capture those feelings with pre-wedding photography (also known as engagement photography).

In order to get a timeless, beautiful look for your pre-wedding photography, follow five tips that will ensure the focus is on you, the newly engaged couple, and not your clothes or the background.

1. Dress in classic styles that you're comfortable in. If you're normally a dressy gal, then go ahead and buy a special new dress or skirt for the occasion. If you're a jeans and T-shirt person, though, don't try to dress up just to dress up. The discomfort will show on your face, so stick to jeans (clean!) and a dressier top. A simple outfit in a solid color is your best bet, and make sure your significant other is wearing a color that complements yours.

2. Don't dress in up-to-the minute trends. While you think it looks great now, in about 20 years, you'll feel the same way as you do now when you view '80s photos. In other words, it dates the photo and makes it more about the fashion than the couple. Along the same lines, take off your eyeglasses for the photos, if possible. They are one of the easiest ways to tell in what era a photograph was taken.

3. When posing for the camera, smile with your whole face. What that means is to let that smile radiate through your face into your eyes. Don't be afraid to smile with your mouth open a bit or even laugh during the photo shoot. This brings a twinkle into your eyes and shows how truly happy you two are.

4. Push your face toward the camera when posing for a photo. To make this easier, pretend you're a turtle and crane out neck out your shell toward the camera. This shouldn't be forced, just a slight push forward to reduce double chins (not that we're suggesting you have one!) and tighten facial skin. It might feel a little strange to you, but the camera won't be able to capture your contortion - just the effect it has on your appearance.

5. Go for a fun and relaxed look. Posed photos are boring! You can hardly romp around in your wedding dress, so this is the time for you to get some shots of you and your fiancee having fun! Roll around on the ground, climb a few trees, play on the stairwell - the overall result of your pre-wedding photography will be much more charming.

There's a real opportunity for every wedding photographer: the possibility of truly capturing the unique expressions and emotions of a couple's most important day together. Weddings are extremely important to everyone, and having good wedding photography is an important way to remember your special day. However, getting great wedding portraits means you need to have a great photographer.

After all, weddings and other important events don't come with second chances. Unlike a studio portrait, if the photos don't come out well, you can't do it all over again to get some new shots. The person you hire to do your wedding photography needs to be able to guarantee that they'll take good quality shots when it comes to your big day.

That's why you have to make sure you're hiring an expert, with plenty of experience and skill in capturing those important moments. He or she should be open minded and understanding, and should value the experiences of your big day, rather than seeing it as "just another wedding". You need someone who knows what they're doing and understands why it's so important.

A good photographer will have the training to allow them to handle the intricate details and unique features of your wedding, regardless of the kind of ceremony that's being performed. He or she should be able to take the appropriate photographs for anything from the most traditional wedding to the most modern, plus civil ceremonies, religious ones, and theme weddings.

The wedding photographer should also understand that no one should be pushed into a mold on their big day. That means taking spontaneous, free photography, not stiff, posed portraits. Photographers who aren't willing to work with you on the most important day of your life as a couple shouldn't take your photos.

The best wedding photography services are also the ones that have access to the best technology, enabling them to make high quality images with lots of detail. Photographers who insist in working with outdated equipment, or who haven't bothered to upgrade (apart from the rare expert in old fashioned film photography) should be avoided. Make sure you use someone who has the skill and equipment to make really beautiful pictures.

Good lighting, positioning and other elements are what's needed to make your photos great. A photographer who understands what they're doing will be able to give you beautiful, memorable images that offer a pleasant reminder of your big day for years to come. A less good photographer will produce images that look good, but just don't have the emotional impact that a better photo could offer.

This is why it's vital to make sure that you're hiring a photographer who has the equipment, experience, skill and professional outlook to offer you the best possible photos. Make sure you get a photographer with a real understanding of what you need. That way, you'll end up with photos that will help you enjoy your happy memories for years to come.

Be Prepared Keep all your photography equipage ready for use. Pull together everything you?ll necessitate into one spot. A camera bag is optimal, because it keeps all your junk together and lets you contain it all with you. All in its place. A first-rate camera bag will allow you line up a miniature tripod, extra battereis, memory cards, etc. - yet a plastic bag or waterproof housing to shelter your camera in wet weather.

Keep your Camera Steady Blurry photos are all but always the bottom line of camera movement. Just your own unsteadiness, causes your camera to shake sufficient to blur your pictures.

So even yourself and your camera ahead of you make the shot. Place your feet safely on the ground and tuck your elbows in close to your sides. As an alternative of using the LCD viewer, even your camera against your forehead and frame the shot using your camera?s viewfinder. You may moreover steady your higher body by leaning against a wall or a tree. Or totally purge any camera movement by using a tripod.

On one occasion you?re all prepared, gently press the shutter release in single motion. Pressing the shutter release too tough could jerk the camera downward.

Step Closer One differential in ?snapshots? and really splendid photos is the symphony of the shot. Unless you?re shooting an outdoor landscape, you can enrich most photos just by getting closer to your theme. Hingeing on the circumstances, you are able to physically budge closer to your topic, or use the zoom feature on your camera for the same effect. Try to get within a a small number of feet of your subject so you zero out most of the background. You?ll like the results.

Make extra Pictures Yet professionals make loads of shots of the same subject - to obtain just a few that they will wear out. With a digital camera, you can zero out the images you don?t like, and simply print the winners - so don?t tarry to take several shots of the same subject. Swap the angle of the shot. Get a little closer. Adjust the lighting. Why not fill the complete memory card with pictures of your kid at the pool, or your daughter in her cap and gown? The more pictures you create, the superior the odds that you?ll get a few shots that will really delight you.

Change the Lighting Using natural light will present improved skin tones when photographing folks, so try not to manage the flash if you don?t have to. Out-of-doors daylight shots are stress-free, but you?ll have to be a little more creative when shooting indoors. Try using the light coming in from a window for warmer tones than you would get using the flash.

Carry out trial with natural lighting. You may get stronger shadows by stirring your theme closer to a window, and turning your subject can render more dramatic shadows.

Zero out Red-Eye Red-eye is the effect of light passing through your subject?s eye and reflecting back. You?ll get it extra often when using your flash, just as the light from the flash isn?t as diffused as natural light. So the first hint for eliminating red-eye is simply to steer clear of using your flash when you don?t absolutely have to.

A further manner to allay red-eye is to have your theme look anywhere but at the camera. This reduces red-eye for the reason that any reflection isn?t directed back at your camera lens. If you have to use up the flash, some digital cameras have a built-in attribute to robotically efface red-eye. Exercise it.

Move in support of Candid As an alternative of posing two (or more) persons looking frankly at the camera, get a shot of them interacting with one another. Yet two persons having a conversation is more exciting than having them stand next to each other facing the camera. Some of the best professional portraits have the subject captured deep in thought, with their attention focused inward, rather than on the camera lens. It renders a more exciting shot. Your portrait will appear more natural - less posed.

Make a Scene Putting your theme in the center of a photo is just boring. You?ll get a much further pleasing result if you position your subject off center when you frame the shot.

This is a exceptionally professional method. Place your subject so that they occupy 1/3 to 1/2 of the total structure, but NOT at the exact core of the frame. Capture an interesting background object in the rest of the frame. Everyone may practice these techniques. They?re stress-free and you?ll get superior, more professional photos.
