There are also durable lace-up designs made from leather or canvas which are a bit dressier in style.

The ballet flat is a stylish but comfortable shoe that many women like. When selecting this type of footwear, it's important to look for a design that has a cushioned insole and a slight heel as this will provide more support to the feet when walking. It should be exactly the proper size, and if there is a strap across the top this is even better.

Properly fitting footwear is a priority for any type of shoe.
