As human beings, we are normally affected by many things, color included. It has an effect on our personal emotions as well as well being. Likewise, the various turban colors exude a therapeutic perspective which has a way of influencing a Sikh's personal and spiritual development as well.

With all its cool appearance that can be seen in the oceanic and aqua natural bodies, the blue color is beautiful. It is associated with the building of trust and faith. This color can enhance oral communication as well as signify peaceful situations.

A royal blue turban indicates sensitivity. It brings about intuitive thoughts and insights, as its appearance is compared to the deep blue night sky. It is the color of being reliable and honest, as it also inspires qualities such as authority and presence.

The color yellow brings about a sense of belonging and self identity. It enhances happiness and fills one;s heart with joy as well. It is also capable of bringing about a sense of calmness and one is able to have thought clarity. There is enhancement of knowledge as well as gaining a sense of direction in one;s life.

The orange color is one that stirs up feelings of joy and pure bliss. It is believed that this color is capable of wiping away shocking experiences as well as trauma and bad experiences in life. It results in the enhancement of community linkages, socialization and self belonging.

White is a color that is worn by numerous people globally. In India especially, a larger portion of the country;s landscape is filled with the color, especially the buildings that have been built using white marble. This color is linked to strength, purity and glow.

The color black is a color that brings about a sense of being deep rooted. It is interesting to note that black color was not widely worn by the Sikh before the Nankana Sahib massacre that happened in 1922. During the days following the killings, most people dyed their turbans and clothes to black. The event resulted in shock waves among the people and according to them, the color brought about a stabilizing effect during this period of deep anguish and sorrow.

Gold is a color that is widely adorned by many around the world. It results in feelings of joy and well as in reducing anxiety. It also assists on to find the relevant answers to circumstances in life that one might be going through. This color also helps a lot in healing processes.

You might wonder what the result will be if all these turban colors were to be combined together. They would certainly create the true image and character of an individual. This would be a person who knows who he is and has a clear sense of identity. This is one person who is extremely confident and is capable of facing life;s challenges head-on and be able to think in a focused manner before acting. He holds a sense of responsibility and socializes well with others. This person experiences nothing but a combination of pure bliss, happiness and peace.
