Easter Date

Easter morning is an incredibly special time for kids across the country. It's not only exciting for those who rise that morning to eat candy and hunt for eggs, but it is yet another day that our children look forward to with anticipation and glee. Easter is a great holiday for children, but once you are older and not interested in the games and activities that you used to enjoy doing, you want to find something else that you can do on Easter that will be fun to you now. This is where the idea of an Easter date comes in perfectly.

Although Easter morning has typically been a day pivoting around the children, do not be discouraged Mom and Dad! With a little imagination, and some creative adaptation of the classic Easter morning children's games, you adults can join in the fun as well.

Another idea for an Easter date is to go out to dinner, and so if the picnic idea doesn't sound good to you, or perhaps the weather is not holding up, then a great idea is to take your date out to a nice restaurant where the two of you can wine and dine and have great conversation. There are many excellent restaurants available, regardless of where you live, and so make sure that you take some time in advance so that you can make reservations if you are planning on going to a very upscale restaurant.

Much like a white elephant gift exchange at Christmas time, this can be a fun way to get the adults in on the Easter morning fun. It may sound rather boring or mundane at first, but really, in the world that we live in today, everything is so speedy and hectic, and so we hardly get the chance to do anything together anymore; this is why something that is seemingly as simple as a walk can be so great. You get the chance to talk and to be outdoors, and so it really can be a great thing.

New year's resolutions are exempt from enforcement on Easter morning! This year, in addition to the laughter of the children, and the smacking of chocolate filled mouths, bring that parents a little bit closer on this wonderful holiday. Give thanks for that which we have been blessed with, and as always, make sure you eat the ears of that chocolate bunny first, you wouldn't want to break that tradition this Easter morning!
