Wearing of turbans among women is fast becoming popular as people want to bring that ethnic and eccentric look. Also such head gears can help hide bad hair fashionably. That is why many ladies want to know how to tie a turban for women in order to look differently.

The first method is the Riveter wrap. Here one takes a large square scarf, folds it diagonally then places the straight long edge of cloth at the back of head. Then the ends of the material are tied at the front of head lightly. The hanging piece of cloth from behind is then taken to the front and tucked under the knot. This way, hair is gathered inside the scarf. One then tightens the knot.

Forehead wrap is the other simple way of tying a head scarf. With the hair tied in a pony or pushed backwards, one takes a square scarf, folds it diagonally into half forming a long triangle. The person will then take the straight edge of the material and place it along the forehead. The triangle part of scarf will point down at the neck. Taking the two ends of the material, one ties a tough knot.

Yet a common style is head band wrap. This can be done in two ways. The first one involves tying the hair in a low braid and strapping the material around base of pony in a single knot. The second way involves folding the clothing to form a band which is then tied around the head forming a bow.

Crown style is a traditional wrap that utilizes a rectangular scarf or otherwise square clothing folded diagonally. Then the folded edge is placed along the forehead. Two ends will hang at the sides one longer than the other and a person then pulls them together to the back. The sides are then twisted while being spiraled round the head forming something like a crown. The twisted end is inserted under the knot at the back.

African gele is a way of wearing scarf usually done by West African women using a special piece of cloth but it can also be done with the normal scarf. The material used is folded to a width of almost six inches. It is then wrapped around the head to the front with the right side of the material one half longer than the left side. Then a person ties the right side over the left side and until both ends are out and it forms a bow.

Rosette wrap is the final way of tying the gear. This one uses rectangular scarf folded diagonally with the long edge lined on the forehead. Both the ends of the cloth are then taken to one side of the head and then tied into a strong knot. The ends will hang and one takes one end, twists and spirals it around the knot. The same is also done to the other end thus forming a rosette. Tips of material are then tucked or held with a pin.

Therefore for people who were wondering on how to tie a turban for women there are many ways to do so as seen above. An individual can use brightly colored or patterned scarves to rock this look. To get write the above style, one needs practice.
