The following 3 days were all regarding shooting! Bruce's stylist, Alevtina from Russia, himself a former model and Make Up Performer Ana from Romania, required care of Sundal, our own model for the day. On the first day of shooting, we shot each 'look' in the different component of the house using only available light, with our class fellow workers helping out with reflectors. The day challenged a number of assumptions I could have created about whether there was 'not sufficient light'! When you are at a 60th at f2.8 and the gauge is still letting you know that you're likely to be underexposed, Bruce's answer is in order to 'make' some light! Catching some windowpane light on the floor with a big reflector and then picking that light up with another reflector and bouncing it back onto the scene had been as simple as it was ingenious. Small techniques such as this, allied to Bruce's unique style of shooting educated and entertained almost all the delegates about the course.

The following day was cloudy and saw all of us bouncing light from your variety of studio flash heads all around the amazing primary hall of Hampton Court Residence, in most cases, all over the place except entirely on the model. Again, the emphasis was a little more about supplementing available light to create the required ambience. The model Kate went through four various appearances, each fitting in with the magnificence and elegance of the environment.

On the last day of shooting, our model was Lois and our own stylist was Angel, while Ana stayed on hand regarding hair and make up. We shot three very different and distinctive looks inside two different parts of the residence. As just before, Bruce started each and every session with a demo shoot, enabling the team members to see just how Lois responded to Bruce's path. Each assign then acquired their session, assisted by a colleague from the program whether together with reflectors or just moving a lens or new CF card.

After three days of shooting, three different models and four appears per day, the party had a lot of images in order to sub modify. On the final day, everyone got trapped into their editing to create their layouts for every look. This kind of meant developing a left hand site, a right palm page and a double site spread prior to doing any specific editing in order to the actual pictures themselves. Bruce next showed a number of editing techniques which leaned heavily on the type of things that might enhance any photographers collection images ought to he or she desire to show their own book in the publishing globe.

What were the key parts?

The program was a fantastic opportunity to shoot fashion in a amazing area with someone who after Thirty years in his discipline, still looks after a passion and passion for what he does and sharing this with others. The program delegates had been great company and diverse inside their backgrounds and pursuits which meant that we were capable of learn from one another. Even though every set was the same, nobody produced the same picture!
