Now that it's October, it's time to start thinking about Halloween. Have you decided on a costume yet? If you haven't, you may want to get to work. It's a great time to buy costumes now, as you'll have the biggest possible supply to choose from and you'll generally be able to come across costumes at better prices now than you will in a few weeks.

Why wait until the last minute, when every store is jam packed with people and all that's left in the store is some uncomfortable outfit no one wanted to wear, along with a few lousy wigs? I've done that before, and I'm not going to let it happen again.

Well, now's the time to make a move. There are plenty of costume ideas out there, and much of it depends on your gender. Here are a few to potentially start you off.

How about dressing up as someone famous? People love to see celebrity Halloween costumes. One suggestion I could make is to dress up as that famous singer who wowed the entire world via a video that spread like wildfire, Susan Boyle.

If you're a male, it seems like Michael Jackson will be a hot commodity this year for Halloween. Many will look to honor the King of Pop by dressing up as him in tribute.

The key components to a Michael Jackson costume will be the long hair, some white makeup, and a hat. Don't forget about the glove either. If you can bring your dance moves, people will love the whole package.

Yet another popular costume will be those who choose to dress up as one of the Obamas. This is his first year in office and you can be sure there will be lots of Obama costumes.

With just a few creative pieces, you can probably make your own Obama Halloween costume. This could be a really interesting way to go.
