A woman can have the moment before she becomes a man's wife seized on film with a bridal photo. Although it is not required, a bridal photography is often taken before the wedding day itself to have the bride's serene moments recorded and captured on film.

The session for bridal photography can be held weeks before the nuptials or merely a few hours before the main event. Because of their busy schedule, there are women who prefer to have their bridal photography session on the same day. And because it is held on the same day, the bride just dons her wedding gown once.

To avoid the feeling of being rushed, most women choose to shoot their bridal photograph weeks or days before the event. Because there is just a short time allotted for the bride to prep on her wedding day, time is of the essence. The bride won't have to worry about time constraint if she has preferred to have her photo weeks ahead.

During the session, the photographer can get to know the bride a little bit more so he would ascertain what her best approach for the shot will be during the wedding day. The bride can also consider this time as an exercise of sorts so she can ascertain which pose and look she feels most relaxed in. She can also consider this as a dress rehearsal and dry run for her hair and makeup.

The photographer's studio is where most bridal photography sessions are usually held so the photographer can better correct the lighting for the shoot. However, the bride can likewise go for a more contemporary look. She can have the session taken in her home or in other interesting sites, such as the beach or garden.

Although it may seem outdated, bridal photography can be a lovely memento of the bride in her full wedding garment taken in a tranquil environment. It recounts the bride's story on the pages of the wedding album before she officially takes the name of her husband.
