It's great to receive an invitation to a party but it can be a drag if you look in your closet and don't have the right dress to wear. Well, fear not, finding the perfect party dress doesn't have to be a chore. Read on and I explain why.

It's great to have a party dress or two on hand for formal events. Be sure to find one that fits you really well. That way you'll look and feel good. Here are some more suggestions to get you on your way to becoming a fashionista.

Think about your body type and look for a style that flatters it. It's nice to be trendy but if what's in doesn't look good on your body type than forget it. Find a pretty party dress that looks good on you and not just the mannequin. The good news is that there are all kinds of party dresses.

For example, long flowing gowns look better on tall girls with slim hips and small breasts. Short tight fitting dresses are better for short girls that like to show off their curves. Think about your body type and go from there.

Think about the event you are attending. If it's super formal you may want something that fits the bill. Adding some splash in the form of sequins or shine is always a nice touch. On the other hand, if you're going somewhere more sedate, like a work function, leave the cleavage and glitz at home.

Also, think about the way the dress is cut and its details. If you have large breasts you may not want to show them off at a work function but it's OK if you're on a date. A simple dress usually works best for a professional atmosphere.

Don't forget to complete your look by adding just the right accessories. I'm talking about lovely jewelry, shoes and the right purse to make it all come together. It's the icing on the cake. Look for items that don't match but coordinate.

So, you see, it's not that hard to find the perfect dress for that upcoming event. Just take your time and know that it's out there. You might need to put in some effort first but in the end it will be worth it.
