Digital cameras are everywhere you look these days! It seems like just about everyone has a digital camera these days that can snap photos of just about anything in a matter of moments. Working with digital photos instead of the traditional film photos is cheap, there is no used paper to end up in the garbage and they take up almost no physical space at all!

There are many different ways to share your photos, from electronic picture frames to printing them out to keeping them on your PDA. Beginning your own blog is a great side project for almost everyone, whether you're a working mother, high school student or even a Baby Boomer. Whether you are a pro photographer or an amateur photography novice you'll still like the ease of digital photography. And what's better than just taking lots of digital photos is the easy way you can display them to others.

One of the newest ways to display your photos to others is by publishing a photography blog. A "web log" or blog is a website that allows an author to post instant updates onto Internet about just about any topic imaginable. A photography blog can include the digital images you took on any specific day or trip. You can include comments about your photos and you can inform people about why you snapped the photos and where you were when you took them.

Most blogging websites are fairly simple to get started with. To start a photography blog you only need to find some free blogging websites and pick a blog name. You just type your comments out in a post, insert your digital photos from your computer and the blogging software pretty much does the rest. When you are satisfied with a post you "publish" it and anyone on the internet can instantly read it!

Getting commends from visitors to your blog is part of the excitement of putting your images online. With a photo web log you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow people to comment on your posts. If you allow comments on your images then you can also learn what other people like and don't like about your photos.

It's your photo blog and you can put up photos of whatever you want. You can share a bunch of images of a vacation one day and then put up images of some children playing in your back yard the next day. Remember not to worry about always composing a post that's perfect. Just try to have fun with the ability to publish your digital photos so easily with your own blog!
