Our small blue globe is the only one of its type in our galaxy, well, at least that's what we believe, granted that we identify so little concerning the vast expanse of space beyond our planet. But before this article turns into some sci-fi tirade about alien life, intergalactic robots, and what not, for the time being let us just focus on what we know, that the Earth is the only one with life in it.
From all the balls of gas and rock in the infinite galaxies in our universe, why Earth? What is so extraordinary about this white, green, tan, and blue chunk of rock that it is able to support life? And, why are we here in the first place? Well, first of all, it could take a lot more than a couple of lifetimes to figure that mystery out and secondly, I am asking way too many queries. The important thing is that we're here now, and we exist because of Earth's ideal conditions.
I can't speak for all of mankind, but in my opinion, this is reason enough to be really thankful for the gift of life that we have received. That is why we should be thankful for the fact that we exist, and we are experiencing all the wonderful things that life offers. We wake up everyday to learn new things, undergo a variety of feelings, and create wonderful memories with the people that we love. And there is no better way to preserve these memories than having them preserved forever in a photo.
And one of the most precious, if not the most precious memory worth capturing, is the beginning of life itself, from pregnancy, to the birth of the child, and his or her most fragile first years. That is probably why types of photography like maternity photography and baby photography are turning into one of the most popular in the industry. This trend will most probably continue for the next number of years because of ever increasing demand.
And even though your pregnant spouse will most likely tell you that she feels and looks like a cow, a hippo, or any other large animal on the planet, there is definitely an element of plain beauty and tranquility that can only be glimpsed in a pregnant woman. That is what maternity photography tries to capture and preserve for all eternity.
When doing a photo shoot, don't be afraid to try new things and a variety of poses that might seem silly at first, but more often than not, they are the ones that produce great photographs.
