National parks are a vacation location that more people are starting to choose. In the United States one of the most popular parks is in California, Yosemite Park. Yosemite photography is a common past time for many people that visit the park.

Prior to taking any landscape pictures a person should get to understand how their camera works. Understanding the various settings on the camera will help a person get top results from their pictures. If someone does not know about manual settings on their camera there may be a landscape mode setting available which will automatically program the camera settings. A person should also have a tripod with them when taking landscape pictures.

There are many different beautiful vistas to choose from at this park. The best thing is to do research prior to the trip to get an understanding of the various options and develop a plan for which sites should be photographed. When choosing the sites to photograph someone needs to take into consideration how long the trip is and whether there is a hike involved to get to each location.

One of the more famous locations at the park is Half Dome. This is such a famous site that the image is on the California state quarter. Another option for Half Dome is to hike to the top and enjoy the amazing view when perched so high above the valley.

Yosemite Falls is another popular photograph opportunity at the park. These are the tallest measured falls in North America. With the various hiking trails around the falls a person can get pictures from many different angles. Remember that the rocks in the area may be slippery due to the water splashing around so be careful during the hike.

Because there are so many different scenes to take in a person should make sure to plan ahead to get an understanding of the various locations within the park they would like to visit.
