If you are wanting to buy a digital camera, you are in for a daunting undertaking. I am certain you already ae aware that there are lots of digital camera producers and each of them are producing many different styles of cameras. And the funny thing is that a number of the companies shouldn't even be making these digital cameras primarily because the cameras they are making are bad. When searching for a camera, you need to determine the criteria you need to have. Do you want a camera that is under $500, or do you want a camera that is at least $200? And are you wanting a camera to simply take photos or do you want something where you will also have the ability to take video clips?

When you know just what you want, you will be able to find just the camera that satisfies your requirements. If you want photos that are of the highest quality, you will want to get a traditional 35mm SLR camera because they traditionally capture better photographs than most digital cameras. Then again, you need to consider film and film processing costs, which is why many people want a digital camera. Possibly another criteria is the media card, and perhaps the 16 MB card that comes with the Fujifilm FinePix A303, or the 64 MB card that you can buy additionally to hold 250-300 high quality photos. Of course, the 64 MB card should really be adequate for nearly everyone.

Even though the Fujifilm FinePix A303 is small in size, it is still a 3.2 mega pixel digital camera which has the ability to compare to models which are more expensive. One of the features that people truly like about the Fujifilm FinePix A303 is the fact that it has a 6x zoom for taking those closeups. As snapping pictures should be fun, and not work, it is easy to use. But for individuals who also want to be able to record videos and sound, then this camera may not be the suitable camera for you.

One of the complaints consumers have had is first of all, the FinePix A303 drains batteries fast. When using the camera in the light, with no flash, and the view screen off, perhaps you will be able to fill a 64 MB card before your batteries run out. On the other hand, if you keep using the view screen and you always have the flash on, you should stock up on batteries. the other complaint is about losing photographs when you scroll through your images using the review function. You will end up overwriting the photographs if you don't scroll to the end of the photographs before taking new photos. This can be very annoying the first time it occurs, and you lose some photos that you truly wanted.

A number of individuals have had complaints about the overall construction of the unit saying that it is not very tough and durable. Generally, the Fujifilm FinePix A303 receives fairly good reviews, but being on the low-end of the price scale, the quality fails to meet higher end cameras, but also shouldn't be expected to. Basically, if you are looking for a cheap digital camera, this camera is definitely something you should check out.
