How Hrithik Roshan Became Famous?

Every year there will be a number of aspiring talents who try to enter Bollywood, however only a few manage to get through the tough test of luck and talent. One star kid who convincingly proved his ability as an actor was, Hrithik Roshan, son to producer and director Rakesh Roshan.

He appeared as a child artist during the '80s in movies like Apke Deewane, Aasha and Bhagwan Dada. He was a very fortunate actor to have received a good opening in his career and also some good reviews from critics. He could do two roles in the first film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, which released in theatres in 2000. Not Just was the film a big hit at the box office, but it also received many honors to its name.

Hrithik Roshan became popular within a small duration of time and bagged both trophies for best debutant and best actor in Filmfare Awards. The film was included in Limca Book of Records for the number of honors it bagged in a single year. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai had won 102 awards in total.

In the year 2000, he was roped in for films like Fiza and Mission Kashmir by the directors Khalid Mohammed and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He got good comments from film critics for his acting and he performed well in the following year too. His movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was also a huge success and it also became the 2nd biggest film to attract a lot of audience to theatres in the year.

He worked with some of the best talents in Bollywood like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan and Kajol. His popularity went down in 2002 as a lot of movies in which he worked failed to capture audience' attention. In 2003, he once more showed his excellence in enacting with Koi Mil Gaya with Preity Zinta and did the role of a mentally challenged man. He enacted the role of a person with lackadaisical attitude who transforms to a focused individual in the movie Lakshya, from Farhan Akhtar, reinforcing his ability to manage any kind of character.

Hrithik took a sabbatical from his acting career for 2 years and came back with his super hero avatar with Krrish, the sequel of Koi Mil Gaya and he played 2 roles in this. The stylish avatar of a super hero was accepted by the Indian family audience. With the success of Dhoom, it was once more good times for Hrithik in the industry.

With Jodha Akbar and Luck By Chance, he displayed his excellent acting talent. He was praised for his role in the acclaimed film Guzaarish, for doing the character of Ethan Mascarenhas. People are impatiently awaiting his films Krrish 2 and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to hit the theatres. Hrithik Roshan lives in Mumbai with his 2 children and wife Suzanne.
