In 1974, in the Canadian area of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Masimba Marlon Clarke was born. He spent the first six months of his life here before moving to the West Indies islands of Trinidad and Tobago. The next five years of his life were spent here before relocating back to his birth place, Winnipeg. In 1984, his family moved once again and settled in Toronto. It was during his stay here that he developed an interest in acting.

He majored in drama in high school. He took part in the productions of the drama club in his school. To be able to become a better actor, he took other lessons out of school. In 1999 he graduated from college where he was awarded a diploma in journalism. This achievement opened more doors in his acting career after completing his education.

In 2001 he had earned hi first acting role in Massacre Up North, an independent feature. He also took part as a dancer in the music video Music at Work and was a guest star in the TV series called This Is Wonderland. This catapulted him into the limelight and he appeared in a number of ads in the print media for a number of companies.

At 1.75m tall, he is outstanding among other actors. The training he got while in school has greatly helped his career. This proves the importance of starting out early in your career of choice. You will need to be passionate about what you have decided to pursue. This is the only way to help you achieve your aspirations.

Many people are born with the ability to succeed as actors but they fail to make the required break, because they are not noticeable by advertisers and producers. There are certain qualities and talents that are relevant to acting which you should have if you have the interest of becoming an actor. Dancing and singing are such talents that can improve your chances of becoming an actor.

Acting takes various forms and you need to be specific about the kind you would like to be a part of. You can be an actor for the movies, television or theater. You will be required to put effort in line of acting you have selected. Rejection is common in the path to success and you will need to know the best way to deal with it.

Every actor basking in the glory of success has a story of the path they took to be where they are. Some have had to work extra hard while others had an easy time. Avoid thinking of getting an easy break as this can distract you. Persistence in anything will bear you the results you expect in the long run.

Following the example of Marlon Clarke, having some training in acting will ease your way to success. Training improves raw talent and trainers will guide you in the right way to lead you to the summit of your career. At the beginning there will be very many challenges and it is only your resolve that will help you overcome them.
