In more recent years, tourism has become another economic resource for this hot spot in the Caribbean. There are a plethora of choices for destination cities on the island. Montego Bay is one. In addition to dining, shopping and all inclusive resorts, Montego Bay also boasts Rose Hall Great House. Once upon a time, Rose Hall was home to Annie Palmer who is known as the "White Witch." The hall is storied to be her home even though she died long ago.

Couples planning their nuptials have Montego Bay and more to choose from. Beaches, sunshine and sunsets are major factors in those choices. Many other cities such as Ocho Rios, Kingston and Negril have much to offer.

Ocho Rios is fun city that is home to Dunns River Falls. Adventurous visitors like to climb the 600 foot falls. "Staircases" made of rock and situated up the falls allow this unique experience. Others want to be photographed in the pools below. Negril, in the west, offers a quieter location but just as beautiful.

Kingston is not as heavily visited by tourists as the resort cities. It is, however, where visitors can get a taste of truly authentic Jamaican culture. This bustling city is the country's largest. Kingston features the Royal Botanical Gardens at Hope. Hope Gardens is the largest of its kind in the Caribbean. It also features and adjacent zoo.

Jamaica is an action packed place for the most part. There are activities going on at all hours of the day and night. Watersports and a thriving nightlife allow for something to do for anyone at any time. Serenity seekers will not be disappointed, however, if they visit the Lover's Leap area of the country. This locale is much quieter and unspoiled than some of the others. The views are spectacular and the ambiance is relaxed.
